North Caribou Lake First Nation High School is a brand new modern facility and has 60+ students in Grades 9 - 11 and expanding to offer Grade 12 in 2026. It is located in North Caribou Lake First Nation (Weagamow) in Northwestern Ontario.Job DescriptionThe Reading Intervention teacher will work closely with the administration and teachers in the elementary school to support students who may be struggling with their progress in reading and literacy. Qualifications - Experience in First Nations administration is considered an asset- Experience working with First Nation communities is an asset- Ontario College of Teachers certification- Specific Qualifications in Reading, ESL, Special Education or other areas will be an asset- Demonstrates commitment to Indigenous student success, parent and community involvement- Demonstrates understanding of Indigenous communities with protocols, history, culture, and contemporary issues- Excellent organizational skills- Multi-tasking and time managemen...
