About our client: Our client operates a national footprint with a projects division of about 18 people, including seven field staff supported by estimating, project management and administration. The division runs with a small‑team approach inside a larger organisation. Field work is coordinated digitally through OH&S and job apps, with iPad‑based workflows on every site. Work spans Perth metro from Yanchep to Mandurah, with most activity between the CBD and Rockingham. The division focuses on installation and commissioning, not service. The aim is to lift installation standards, strengthen team capability and provide structured support for apprentices. About the opportunity

This is a field‑based role delivering refrigeration and air conditioning installs across commercial and residential light projects, with a focus on VRV/VRF systems and pipework.

In this role, you will:

• Deliver work to defined quality standards and sign‑off requirements
• Maintain OH&S compliance using digital apps and site procedures
• Model team behaviours, sharing knowledge and supporting apprentices
• Complete drawings‑based installs and assist with commissioning
• Manage day planning with supervisors and project managers

You will review the day's plan on site, complete JHAs/SWMS in the app, hang units, run and braze pipework, pressure test, and assist with commissioning and job sign‑off before moving to the next site. Start times are flexible with overtime available for after‑hours, crane lifts and weekends. A nine‑day fortnight is an option.

About you

You are an experienced installer who enjoys end‑to‑end delivery across short to week‑long projects and contributes positively to a close‑knit team.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• Cert III in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
• Strong VRV/VRF installation background; reads drawings and builds to plan
• Proven pipework skills including brazing, pressure testing and leak checks
• Experience assisting with commissioning and sign‑off
• Comfort using iPad/digital OH&S and job apps; JHAs/SWMS familiarity
• Current Australian driver's licence; white card; working at heights/EWP desirable
• Ability to work autonomously across Perth metro and support apprentices
• Willingness to undergo a medical and drug & alcohol test if required
