Job Description
We are seeking a qualified Refrigeration Technician to support the operation and maintenance of our industrial ammonia refrigeration system at our Versailles, Ohio facility.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on ammonia refrigeration systems
Record daily equipment readings and monitor system performance
Inspect freezer and cooler evaporators for operational issues
Adjust compressor pressures and temperatures as needed
Monitor ammonia levels in accumulators and high-pressure vessels
Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout
Qualifications
Must be 18 years or older and authorized to work in the U.S.
High School Diploma or GED required
Ammonia Refrigeration Certification required
Minimum 1 year of industrial maintenance experience
Welding experience required
Ability to read blueprints and use hand and power tools
Ability to work in varied temperatures and physical conditions
Ability to work extended hours Monday–Saturday, including overtime
Must complete required safety and food safety training (SQF, GMP, HACCP)
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Reliable, safety-focused, and team-oriented
Must provide own basic tools
Preferred: Experience in a USDA-inspected beef, pork, or poultry facility.
