Find your calling at Mercy! Overview Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care, according to physician's orders. Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy. Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care. Performs duties as assigned. Position Details: Responsibilities: Safety/Risk Management Demonstrates safe medication administration. Follows all policies/procedures for Incident Reporting/Sentinel Events/Mercy Event Reporting System (MERS). Follows all confidentiality policies/procedures. Complies with infection control guidelines. Creates a safe environment through various safety practices, including, but not limited to: - Fall precautions - Restraint management - Patient Identification - Unit/Department specific policies Coordination of Services/Communication Management Functions as a Preceptor, Clinical Instructor, and/or Resource person.
