Regional Development Australia NT (RDA NT) is entering an exciting new phase with a refreshed strategy and organisational structure focused on delivering stronger regional economic outcomes across the Northern Territory. A newly created Regional Development Manager position will play a key role in shaping this next chapter.
About the role
The Regional Development Manager will lead NT wide regional development initiatives and strategic stakeholder engagement to implement the RDA NT Strategy and advance regional economic development outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and maintaining strategic relationships with government agencies, industry partners and community organisations across the NT, with a particular focus on Central Australia engagement.
- Designing, coordinating and delivering regional development initiatives aligned to RDA NT strategic priorities.
- Preparing funding applications, progress reports and policy submissions, and representing RDA NT at high level government and industry meetings.
- Conducting regional economic analysis and providing evidence based advice to the CEO, Committee and stakeholders on regional opportunities and challenges.
- Supporting the CEO with stakeholder engagement and providing mentoring and guidance to the Regional Engagement Officer.
About you
- Demonstrated experience in regional economic development and strategic stakeholder engagement.
- Strong leadership and project management skills, including experience delivering complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
- High level written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing funding applications, policy submissions and reports.
- Strong analytical and problem solving capability, with an understanding of Northern Territory regional issues and willingness to travel across the NT as required.
Salary and conditions
- Salary up to $120,000 plus 12% superannuation, based on experience.
- Fulltime, 76 hours per fortnight, based in Darwin.
- 6 weeks annual leave.
