Role Overview:

The Regional Legal Manager is responsible for managing all legal matters across the assigned region, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, minimizing legal risk, and supporting business functions with timely legal advice in line with bank policies and regulatory requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle and oversee litigation, arbitration, and recovery-related legal matters in the region.
  • Provide legal support on banking operations, credit, recovery, SARFAESI, DRT, and enforcement actions.
  • Manage external advocates, law firms, and legal vendors, monitor case progress and costs.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, court orders, and internal legal policies.
  • Review, vet, and advise on agreements, notices, replies, and legal documentation.
  • Provide MIS, legal risk updates, and guidance to business and recovery teams.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • LL.B./LL.M. from a recognized university; enrolled with State Bar Council.
  • 8–12 years’ experience in banking, NBFC, or financial service’s legal function.
  • Strong knowledge of banking laws, recovery frameworks, and litigation management.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
