Regional Marketing Manager, Japan (AECO)
Location: Tokyo, Japan or Osaka, Japan (In Office)
About the Role:
Trimble is growing the APAC marketing team and as a part of these strategic plans, we’re looking for a Regional Marketing Manager in Japan to lead our marketing efforts across the country and drive strategic initiatives focused on lead generation and revenue growth.
The Regional Marketing Manager, Japan, is a strategic and results-driven role responsible for fueling Trimble’s AECO (Architecture, Engineering, Construction, and Owner-operator) business growth in the Japanese market. You will lead the development and execution of localized demand generation and field marketing strategies to reach, engage, and convert audiences across SMB, Mid-Market, and Enterprise segments. As the primary marketing point of contact for Japan, you will be accountable for pipeline contribution, revenue growth, and brand awareness within the region.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive regional marketing plan for Japan, encompassing digital, events, social, email, advertising, communications, etc.
Revenue & Pipeline Growth: Partner closely with local Sales, SDRs, technical teams to drive new business opportunities and grow existing business, to contribute to pipeline and revenue goals. Optimize local lead generation, nurture programs, and ensure effective follow-up with sales teams.
Campaign Management: Successfully execute multi-channel demand generation programs and highly targeted Account-Based Marketing (ABM) strategies aligned with global marketing initiatives and local sales objectives. Closely collaborate with global and regional marketing teams to adapt campaigns for local relevance.
Field Marketing & Events: Design and manage a localized events strategy, including executive roundtables, tradeshows, and Trimble-hosted events, to build brand awareness and thought leadership.
Content & Localization: Create and manage Japan-specific content and messaging that resonates with local audiences while ensuring alignment with Trimble’s global brand story. Localize global initiatives and campaigns to cater to Japanese audiences.
Strategic Local Partnerships: Own and drive relations and initiatives with key local industry bodies, associations, advisories, and technology alliances to expand market reach.
Digital & Performance Marketing: Implement and report on performance marketing across digital platforms that work best in Japan like LinkedIn, PPC, software review sites and any other platforms best suited to Japan, collaborating with a global paid media team to drive high-intent opportunities.
PR & Awareness: Work with internal stakeholders and external agencies to increase Trimble’s share of voice and brand recognition in Japan.
Budget & ROI: Manage regional marketing budgets, build measurement frameworks, and regularly report on marketing effectiveness and ROI to local stakeholders as well as roll ups to APAC and Global metrics.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Experience: Minimum 8 years of B2B marketing experience in Japan, ideally within high-growth SaaS or technology organizations (CAD/CAM/BIM industry or construction technology experience would be a big plus!)
Language Skills: Native-level Japanese and business-level English (written and verbal) are essential.
Domain Expertise: Proven track record in demand generation, field marketing, event management, and integrated campaigns.
Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency with Marketing Automation Tools (MAT), CRM (, Salesforce), and analytics tools.
Stakeholder Management: Excellent ability to build relationships and align priorities across sales, product marketing, and global teams within a matrix organization.
Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of the Construction industry and an understanding of its unique issues and personas is highly preferred.
Analytical Skills: Metrics-driven mindset with the ability to define, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
