Dilawri Leasing is the in‑house leasing & financing division of Dilawri Group of Companies. Dilawri Group of Companies is Canada's largest automotive group, with 85 franchised dealerships that represent 38 global brands in Canada and the US. Our dealerships in Canada are located in Toronto, Montreal, Calgary, Regina and Vancouver. Dilawri is a family‑owned company which has been in business since 1986 with +4,000 employees.

Position Summary

Reporting to the National Business Development Manager, In‑House Leasing & Financing, this position is based in the GTA and is responsible for all business development aspects of Dilawri Leasing across the Eastern Region, comprising ON (Greater Toronto Area) and QC (Greater Montreal Area). This individual will be the primary Dilawri Leasing representative and on‑ground liaison for Dilawri dealerships located in the GTA and GMA. In addition to focusing on the development and growth of Dilawri Leasing business in the region, this role will also provide support to Dilawri Leasing Head Office, located in downtown Toronto, in the areas of document preparation, paperwork follow‑up and other requests on an as‑needed basis.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Be the primary representative for Dilawri Leasing in both the ON Region and QC Region.
  • Perform regular dealership visits to meet with dealership management & sales teams.
  • Support the promotion of Dilawri Leasing within Dilawri dealerships.
  • On an ongoing basis, identify new business opportunities, in both new & used inventories, that fulfil the criteria for a Dilawri Lease (prior model year, aged inventory, OEM standard rate models, floorplan curtailment units, etc.).
  • Calculate sample lease payments and review these with dealership management to identify potential business opportunities.
  • Review OEM sales program bulletins monthly to identify new car leasing opportunities.
  • Meet or exceed monthly volume targets agreed upon with Head Office.
  • Coordinate with dealerships to ensure the timely completion of lease expiries & renewals.
  • Be the main point of contact for Dilawri Leasing day‑to‑day dealership queries & requests within the region.
  • Perform dealership training on Dilawri Leasing products on a frequent basis or as required.
  • Assist Head Office with on‑ground logistics for issues such as repossessions, write‑offs, and account payments.
  • Assist with deal requirements for both approvals and dealer funding.
  • Prepare regional reporting and ad‑hoc analysis, as required.
  • Prepare after‑hours (EST) documents when required for approved deals.
  • Provide support for various task requests from Head Office on an as‑needed basis.

Skills

  • Automotive experience required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of employees including executive management.
  • Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and accountability for sales targets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency with desktop software in a Windows environment including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • High level of accuracy and personal initiative.
  • Strong organizational ability and high attention to detail.
  • Ability to take ownership of tasks and deliver high quality results.
  • Ability to work in a team environment to achieve common goals.

Education / Other Requirements

  • University or College designation.

Work Experience

  • Minimum of five (5) + years of work experience in either the automotive leasing industry, dealership F&I office, or dealership vehicle sales department.
