Job Description
We are looking for a driven sales professional who is experienced in selling hotel group blocks, events, and creating long-lasting business relationships. Each member of our commission-driven sales team has specific properties in the portfolio which he/she is accountable for driving revenue to, but this role also has the ability to sell into and earn commission on sales across Lark's entire portfolio.
This role works closely with the Director of Sales, General Managers, Revenue Managers, and the Marketing team to develop strategies and targets throughout the year. We need an intrinsically driven individual who has a track record of outbound sales success, the ability and willingness to make cold calls, attend trade shows and conferences, and travel to meet clients and orient themselves to the various markets they are assigned.
Lark's portfolio of boutique hotels has a variety of properties, spaces, outlets, and offerings. This is far from standard - and that is the feature, not the bug. We compete differently from a standard conference center hotel or city center property. Finding the right business for each property and collaborating with the on-site team who is in place to receive and execute the business is critical.
We need personality, persistence, and ultimately someone who can create great business outcomes.
Compensation- Target Compensation $120,000 - $160,000. Base of $85,000 plus commission.

- Meet and exceed revenue targets at the focus properties.
- Be a support to the broader collection of properties and on-site sales teams by way of shared resources and shared strategies.
- Aggressively pursuing new accounts/business on a weekly basis.
- Develop long-term business relationships.
- Making on-property and field presentations to prospective clients.
- Establish relationships and network with key 3rd parties to garner a robust volume of qualified lead referrals for group business.
- Ability to create and work within a budget.

- Regular meetings with the Director of Sales and the Lark leadership team to discuss strategy, tactics, and performance.
- Consistent coordination with property General Managers and Regional Operations Managers to ensure availability and business matches the onsite needs.
- Working knowledge of additional activities and partners in each market, which will draw and attract business.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- At least 6 years of experience in sales.
- Must be comfortable with consistent prospecting in person, over the phone, and via email.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Proficient in CRM Software.
- Analytically minded.
- Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, with guests, employees, and vendors, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy.
