Job Description
**Purpose of the Role**
The Registered Energy Manager (REM) is a hotel-based appointment responsible for ensuring compliance with the requirements of Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission Malaysia) under the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act and related Guidelines. The REM manages, monitors, and improves the hotel’s energy performance while maintaining guest comfort, operational continuity, and brand standards.
The role supports statutory compliance, effective implementation of the Energy Management System (EnMS), and accurate reporting of energy efficiency and conservation activities for the hotel as an energy consumer.

+ Collect, record, and analyse energy consumption data for all applicable energy sources and resources used by the hotel, as specified under the First Schedule and Second Schedule of the Act.
