Job Description
Successful completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technologist certification program(Canadian Society of Medical Laboratory Sciences)
• Current registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario
• Technical knowledge of the principals and techniques of any of clinical chemistry, immunology, red cell disorder or hemoglobin protein testing methods.
• Minimum 1 year experience in clinical chemistry/immunology/hemoglobin protein testing within the last 3 years is preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of quality control as it relates to clinical chemistry
• Demonstrated troubleshooting skills; including error identification, troubleshooting, resolution and follow-up
• Demonstrated knowledge of role and responsibility of an MLT in a Quality Management System
• Effective conflict resolution skills.
• Excellent communication, organization and problem solving skills
• Demonstrated high degree of self motivation and organization
