The Bed Planner acts as a point of contact for the site regarding current status of admissions, discharges and transfers to defined beds. The Registered Nurse - Bed Planner will coordinate the movement of patients through a defined program as well as the ongoing communication with the inter-professional team regarding clinical status of patients waiting for admission. The Team Lead is responsible for coordinating patient placements on site in collaboration with the program specific bed planners. Critical thinking and accurate interpretation of complex information from a variety of sources are essential to the clinical decision-making required for the determination of placement of patients.
