We are currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide clinical support to the team at Bert England Lodge, located in Rockingham . Bert England Lodge is a 44 bed facility offering care for people with diverse needs including dementia, palliative care, and high care requirements and is located close to Rockingham General Hospital.

This role is being offered as a 12-month fixed-term contract , to cover parental leave. It is offering full-time hours, Monday - Friday , working morning shifts .

As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for clinical care and case management. Supervision, direction and leadership of nursing and care / support staff will also be part of your role.

About You

• Currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse
• Relevant clinical experience in an aged care environment is an advantage, but is not essential
• Ability to work independently and professionally
• Ability to motivate staff and promote a positive work environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to confidently use clinical information systems
• Willingness to uphold the Mission, Vision and Values of The Bethanie Group
• Willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations
• Current National Police Clearance (or willingness to apply for one)

The Role

• Take immediate action to ensure nursing care is delivered in a safe and effective manner, while providing direction to Enrolled Nurses and Care Workers
• Complete assessment and / or admission requirements
• Maintain an effective referral system to senior nursing staff, medical staff and / or allied health staff
• Ensure that clinical records reflect care, in line with all accreditation standards and legislative requirements
• Provide mentoring and training to employees where required
