Generalist Public Health Nurse based in or out of the Edson Public Health office is a Primary Care Alberta front line representative in delivering public health services in the diverse communities of the North Zone. The Public Health Nurse (PHN) is a key position working in partnership with a multidisciplinary team and community stakeholders. The incumbent will: effectively use the nursing process to deliver quality care, provide safe, ethical and patient/family centered health care, independently provide health assessment, health planning, health education, supportive counseling, preventative and screening measures, referrals and evaluation as appropriate, provide services to individuals, families, groups and communities with attention to diversity and the social determinants of health. ...
