An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated Registered Nurse to join a dynamic 6-bed Emergency Department at a private hospital near Newcastle. ABOUT THE POSITION
You will work alongside an enthusiastic team of skilled nurses and emergency-trained doctors to provide exceptional patient care 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year. Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Department Manager, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Team and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered in line with the strategic direction of the Hospital. Your responsibilities will include:Delivering evidence-based nursing care;
Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team;
Ensuring patient and staff safety.
The successful applicant will possess:Current registration with AHPRA;
Minimum of one (1) year's experience working in an Emergency Department;
Demonstrated ability to assess, plan, coordinate, and prioritise care delivery needs of patients;
Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment and autonomously as required;
Advanced communication and customer service skills;
Leadership qualities within the Emergency Department;
Previous resus and triage experience;
Postgraduate certificate or similar in critical care (desirable);
In charge or Team Leader experience (desirable);
ALS/ PALS certification (desirable). Salary packaging;

On offer is a base hourly rate of $38.88 - $54.61 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. ABOUT THE FACILITY
The hospital is an acute Advanced Surgical and Medical Hospital situated 15 km south of the Newcastle CBD. The hospital offers the following specialties: Cardiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Orthopaedics, Urology, General Surgery (including Colorectal), Breast Surgery, Plastics, Oral Maxillofacial Surgery, Vascular and Oncology.
