Qualifications and Skills

• Proficiency in patient care to ensure comfort, privacy, and patient dignity during all clinical and non-clinical interactions.
• Ability to efficiently manage electronic health records, maintaining accuracy and confidentiality of sensitive patient information.
• Hands-on experience or training in IV therapy, with a focus on safe and effective administration of intravenous medications and fluids.
• Competence in medication administration, including dosage calculation, preparation, and monitoring patient reactions.
• Strong skills in patient assessment to facilitate early detection of illnesses or health issues, ensuring prompt and appropriate intervention.
• Certification in basic life support to provide lifesaving interventions in emergency situations until advanced care is available.
• Understanding and implementation of infection control practices to prevent healthcare-associated infections and transmission of pathogens.
• Knowledge in wound care techniques to promote optimal healing and minimize risk of infection, using evidence-based practice.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients following established hospital and nursing policies and procedures.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care needs of assigned patient population.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic health record systems.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, observing patient responses and documenting findings.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure high-quality patient care delivery.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions, post-treatment home care needs, diet, and medications.
• Participate in infection control programs, quality improvement initiatives, and continue educational opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards relating to nursing practice and patient care environments.
