Registered Nurse IR - Gastonia, North Carolina

A Registered Nurse (RN) skilled in Interventional Radiology is needed to support patient care in a busy radiology department. This contract position offers a stable 8-hour day shift schedule, providing care to both adult and pediatric patients undergoing various radiology procedures. The role requires the ability to provide expert nursing care within a high-acuity, fast-paced environment, with strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver nursing care to patients in interventional radiology, including pre-, intra-, and post-procedure monitoring.
• Collaborate closely with radiology technicians, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Manage patients from diverse backgrounds, including emergency, ICU, and outpatient settings.
• Utilize EMR systems (EPIC) and department-specific equipment to document and support clinical care.
• Participate in call rotations fairly shared among staff, with occasional holiday coverage.
• Maintain compliance with all safety and clinical protocols.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of 1 year clinical experience, preferably in interventional radiology or related specialty.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Ability to work confidently in a dynamic, high patient-acuity environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Previous experience with EPIC EMR is beneficial.

Schedule and Location:

• Location: Gastonia, North Carolina.
• Shift: 8-hour day shift (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM), 40 hours per week.
• No weekend rotation; consistent shift scheduling maintained during the 13-week contract.
