Registered Nurse

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include: caring of the unconscious patient; working in sterile environment; and caring for and maintaining of specialized instruments. To use nursing process in providing patient care. To participate as a member of the multidisciplinary health care team. As an individual practitioner, to maintain competence and professionalism relevant to current practice. To maintain nursing records-electronic and manual. To perform other related duties as assigned in the scrub and circulating role within many specialized services within an Operating Room.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (in good standing);
* Current B.C.L.S.;
* Demonstrated commitment to maintain Reflective Practice Standards as outlined by CNO;
* Significant recent experience in the Operating Room and successful completion of the Certified Operating Post Graduate Course;
