Exciting opportunities are available for experienced oncology-trained Registered Nurses to join a Day Therapy Unit on a part-time basis with flexible hours at a private hospital in Melbourne. ROLE DESCRIPTION
As a Chemotherapy Nurse, you will be responsible for the administration of chemotherapy/immunotherapy and supportive treatments, educating patients on self-care and the effective strategies for management of side effects, and your duties will encompass:
  • Providing evidence-based nursing care, including a comprehensive assessment of patients receiving chemotherapy/immunotherapy as well as other infusions for conditions such as Crohn's and MS;

  • Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team;

  • Ensuring patient and staff safety;

  • Delivering education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation, or end-of-life needs.
