Registered Practical Nurse

Monday to Friday; days and available to work a flexible time schedule 

1. Current Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) 
2. Current certificates or current community college studies in: health assessment/physical assessment, asepsis, wound care, airway management, complex wound care, medication administration, veni-puncture, and transcribing physician orders 
3. Current CPR Certificate 
4. Extensive (at least 1 year) experience with transfusion therapy and monitoring patient outcomes 
5. Recent (within 2 years) experience in an acute inpatient unit 
6. Experience and skill in blood product administration, advanced vascular access therapy skills and IV starts 
7. Demonstrated interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills; ability to organize, prioritize and carry out multiple tasks; effectively assess and meet patients learning needs; support patient and families of patients who are terminal...
