A Respiratory Therapist opportunity is available in Concord, NC, offering a dynamic contract position within a well-established pediatric-focused healthcare environment. This role requires providing specialized respiratory care across a range of units, including neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong clinical foundation and adaptability to float among multiple facilities in the region, delivering expert care using advanced ventilator technology.

Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Active NC Respiratory Therapist licensure (RRT or CRT required)
- Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience, including IPPV/NIPPV ventilator management
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP
- Comfortable working in diverse care settings such as ED, PICU, Pediatric CVICU, PCU, and general medical floors
- Ability and flexibility to float throughout Region 1 facilities, including Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, and central division locations
- Experience with EPIC EMR system is preferred
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive respiratory care to neonate and pediatric populations; provide adult care as needed during floating assignments
- Collaborate with respiratory leadership and interdisciplinary teams to maintain high-quality patient outcomes
- Utilize specialized equipment and ventilators while adhering to safety and clinical protocols
- Participate in a structured orientation and ongoing professional development
Schedule and Work Environment:
- 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM (schedule cycles every 6 weeks)
- Every other weekend rotation with no on-call responsibilities
- Expected to work approximately 75% of holidays during the contract period
- Floating compensation includes paid travel time between facilities
- Free parking provided; departmental scrub color is royal blue
