A contract opportunity is available for a skilled Respiratory Therapist at a renowned pediatric teaching hospital in Gastonia, NC. This facility is a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center, also certified as a Chest Pain and Stroke Center, with 247 licensed beds providing a dynamic and diverse clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive respiratory care to a varied patient population, including neonates, pediatrics, and adults.
• Manage ventilator support including IPPV and NIPPV across multiple units such as ED, PICU, Pediatric CVICU, PCU, and general medical floors.
• Collaborate closely with respiratory leadership and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) with active North Carolina licensure.
• Completion of current certifications including BLS, PALS, ACLS, and NRP.
• Minimum of two years of respiratory therapy experience, particularly with ventilator management.
• Proficient with electronic medical records, specifically EPIC.
• Comfortable working night shifts on a 12-hour schedule (1900-0700) with every other weekend rotation and holiday coverage (traveler expected to work 75% of holidays).
• Ability to commit to the contract with no floating to other facilities due to specialized patient care needs.
