This includes defining the way releases are handled, ensuring that all functionality is delivered smoothly and efficiently to our customers. While this role does not involve management of direct reports, it does require strong facilitation and leadership of cross-functional teams. An ideal candidate is an innovator; someone who leverages data to challenge existing assumptions and identify solutions, driving towards continuous process improvement.<br /> <br /> Key Responsibilities:<br /> <br /> Collaboration and Coordination: Communicate with Project Teams, Service and Project Managers, and Functional Release Managers to understand the demand, prepare landscape and sandbox setup proposal. Providing leadership, control and take responsibility for the given area and managing and coordinating the deployment process.<br /> Maintaining a Enterprise Release Calendar.<br /> Is highly flexible with their schedule, as deployments may be required at any time.<br /> Is comfortable staying longer when needed, since deployments can occasionally run long<br /> Supporting/Planning project cutovers and oversee deployments: Manage releases according to the organization standards and adhere to timelines. Ensure appropriate resources are available and communicate deployment status as necessary.<br /> SubjectMatter Expert for the release management tool: As a specialist of a tool you must act a leader to support, train other team members if they are facing any issues in the deployment of their releases/project streams.<br /> Mitigating Risk: Identify risks during code conflict, merging and make sure to deploy quality code in production and should conduct release reviews, should take a decision on GoLive of business requirement.<br /> Salesforce Platform Knowledge: You must be proficient in refreshing a sandbox, must know how to package and deploy metadata components, knowledge on release branching strategies, code merging and should have worked on conflict resolution strategies.<br /> Knowledge On Tools: Release manager must be efficient enough to work on application life cycle management solutions like Copado, Azure DevOps, Service Now, Jira, Git, Visual Studio, Ant etc,<br /> <br /> Required Qualifications:<br /> Is Copado certified<br /> Minimum 5+years of experience on the Salesforce platform inclusive of release management, Salesforce Administrator, and implementing Salesforce.com technology-based solutions.<br /> 4+ years as a Salesforce Release Manager in an enterprise-level environment<br /> 4+ year experience with Copado<br /> Salesforce.com Admin and Dev Certification<br /> <br /> Preferred Experience:<br /> <br /> Technical:<br /> Strong Understanding of Salesforce.com best practices and functionality<br /> Experience managing the release processes for business on-board projects and data<br /> Migrations<br /> Has a strong understanding of Salesforce and Metadata<br /> Experience with Salesforce release management on an enterprise, multi-org scale<br /> Understanding of source control management systems (i.e., GitHub) and effective code<br /> branching/merging strategies<br /> Experience with CI/CD Tools, GIT source control, VS code IDEs, branching and merging<br /> strategies/resolving conflicts<br /> Experience using and following SDLC Methodology Agile / Scrum / Iterative Development<br /> ScrumAlliance CSM or CSP certification or PMI's Agile Certified Professional (ACP), Lean, Kanban, or other Agile certification (preferred)<br /> Salesforce Platform Dev 1 preferred<br /> <br /> Non-Technical:<br /> Proven ability to design and implement new processes and facilitate user adoption<br /> Ability to coordinate and document the evaluation, scope and completion of updates and new development requests<br /> Ability to articulate and manage tasks, dependencies, task durations, and risks in a timely manner<br /> Ability to build and manage relationships with clients, third-party partners, and internal<br /> stakeholders<br /> Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements<br /> Experience with requirement's definition & management<br /> Experience working with Salesforce support team<br /> Collaborative nature and ability to build consensus among multiple stakeholders<br /> Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders<br /> Ability to communicate effectively and confidently with team members<br /> Strong professionalism, and interpersonal skills<br /> <br /> Ideal Mindset:<br /> Visionary.
