Position Summary

The Relief Pharmacist assists the Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist in all aspects of Pharmacy Operations.

What You'll Do

• Ensure excellent patient experience and locate merchandise on the sales floor.
• Establish and develop a strong working relationship with Professional Services District Managers and other stakeholders.
• Accept prescriptions and/or refill requests from Customers, Doctors or Hospitals.
• Ensure all prescriptions are filled accurately, efficiently, and safely using the established workflow models and counsel all patients on sold pharmaceutical products.
• Ensure proper storage of pharmaceutical products.
• Execute processes as per OBWs/SOPs.
• Operate all equipment in the pharmacy (register, computer system, etc.) and protect and maintain patient privacy at all times, following provincial regulations.
• Ensure patients receive all eligible services they are entitled to (medication reviews, injections, etc.) to meet specific needs.
• Must follow OBW regulations as per the Relief Pharmacist program.
• Must travel to various locations and follow the schedules set by the Relief program coordinator.
• Develop and establish collaborative relationships with other health care providers within the store (clinics, Vision Centre, community, etc.).

Minimum Qualifications

• Age – 16 or older.
• License – Pharmacist License (secondary optional permit in Alberta: CA_APA – Additional Prescribing Authorization).

Pay

The pay range for this position is $41.60 – $55.90/hr. Rate of pay will be determined based on relevant experience.
