Administrative Assistant
Position Title: Part-Time Administrative Assistant (Contract)
Reports to: Executive Director
Hours: hours per week
Location: Remote
Global Newborn Solutions (GNS) was founded in 2018 by Dr. Anne Hansen, NICU Medical Director at Boston Children's Hospital, after witnessing newborn hypothermia as a leading cause of death in rural Rwanda. Partnering with Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, she helped develop the Dream Warmer — a non‑electric, skin‑temperature heating pad designed for low‑resource settings.
Tested with over 1,000 newborns, the Dream Warmer prevented or treated hypothermia in 92% of cases with no safety concerns. It complements kangaroo mother care, allows medical access, and is usable in hospitals, transport, or at home.
