Remote Sensing Analyst – Stantec

This role supports the GIS practice across Western Australia. Based in Perth, it involves delivering earth observation modelling, statistics, and geospatial analysis for mining projects, including environmental approvals, ecological surveys, and mine closure.

Day‑to‑Day Tasks

• Execute remote sensing projects from proposal to reporting.
• Develop advanced algorithms and models for image processing.
• Conduct spatial and temporal analysis to extract insights.
• Collaborate with cross‑disciplinary teams to integrate remote sensing into environmental projects.
• Build and maintain client relationships for current and new projects.
• Stay up to date with remote sensing technology and contribute to research initiatives.
• Support core spatial tasks such as cartographic figure production, spatial database management, QA/QC, and ad‑hoc GIS support.
