Job Summary
The Green Solutions & Renewable Energy Expert will lead the design, solutioning, and execution of sustainable infrastructure and renewable energy projects. The role requires deep expertise in green technologies—particularly Sewage Treatment Plants (STP) and Faecal Sludge Treatment Plants (FSTP) —along with the ability to mobilize subject matter experts (SMEs), coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and ensure timely, high-quality project delivery. The incumbent will act as a solution architect and execution enabler, driving projects from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities
Green Solutioning & Technical Leadership
Develop end-to-end green and sustainable solutions across renewable energy, water, and sanitation projects.
Lead planning, design, and optimization of STP and FSTP systems , ensuring compliance with regulatory, environmental, and sustainability standards.
Evaluate and recommend appropriate green technologies, treatment processes, and renewable energy integrations (solar, bioenergy, waste-to-energy, etc.).
Prepare technical concepts, feasibility studies, DPRs, BOQs, and technical inputs for proposals and tenders.
Project Execution & Delivery
Oversee project implementation to ensure delivery within defined timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks.
Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure smooth execution.
Identify risks and technical challenges and implement mitigation strategies proactively.
Ensure adherence to statutory norms, environmental regulations, and safety standards.
SME Mobilization & Stakeholder Coordination
Bring in and manage subject matter experts (internal or external) as required for specialized technical inputs.
Act as a single-point technical integrator, aligning diverse expertise to achieve project objectives.
Liaise with government bodies, urban local bodies (ULBs), utilities, funding agencies, and clients.
Support capacity building and knowledge transfer within project teams.
Business & Strategic Support
Support business development by providing technical inputs for bids, RFPs, EOIs, and client presentations.
Advise leadership on emerging green technologies, policy developments, and sustainability best practices.
Identify opportunities for innovation, efficiency improvement, and scalability of green solutions.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong expertise in green renewable energy systems , STP and FSTP design and execution.
Proven ability to drive projects through collaboration and SME coordination rather than direct execution alone.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
Ability to work in multi-disciplinary, multi-stakeholder environments.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Renewable Energy, Sustainability , or a related field.
Additional certifications in sustainability, wastewater treatment, or renewable energy will be an advantage.
Experience
10+ years of relevant experience in green infrastructure, renewable energy, and wastewater/sanitation projects.
Hands-on experience with STP and FSTP projects , from planning to execution.
Demonstrated experience in leading projects by leveraging in-house and external subject matter expertise.
