Job Description

The Repair and Return Engineer is responsible for handling in-process rejections and customer returns efficiently. This role involves diagnosing product issues, performing repairs to meet quality standards, and ensuring smooth return processes to maintain customer satisfaction while reducing turnaround times.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair internal and customer rejections.
Conduct root cause analysis and document findings for recurring issues.
Ensure repaired products meet quality standards before returning to production or customers.
Process customer returns in line with warranty policies and procedures.
Maintain accurate records of repairs and returns using ERP/SAP or tracking systems.
Collaborate with the quality and production teams to identify and address recurring issues.
Communicate repair and return status updates to relevant stakeholders.
Maintain accurate records of repair stock and components to ensure efficient and cost-effective repair operations.
Maintain 5S standards for cleanliness, organization, and efficiency in the workplace.
Qualifications & Key Skills:
Diploma in Electronics & Communication or Electronics & Electrical.
Minimum of 4+ years of hands-on experience in PCBA testing, troubleshooting, and repair and return processes.
Familiarity with J-STD-001H soldering standards to maintain quality in electronic assemblies.
Ability to apply IPC-A-610H standards for assessing solder joints and assembly integrity in both through-hole and SMT applications.
Experience with IPC-7711/21 rework and repair processes.
ESD awareness.
Knowledge of SAP is considered an additional advantage.
