Job Description
- Design, develop, and implement control system architectures using PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems.
- Program and configure industrial controllers (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi) for process automation.
- Conduct system integration, testing, and commissioning of control systems in production environments.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation engineers to ensure seamless system performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex control system issues to minimize downtime and improve reliability.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including control logic diagrams, system manuals, and maintenance procedures.
- Perform root cause analysis on control system failures and recommend preventive measures.
- Support continuous improvement projects through data analysis, performance monitoring, and system optimization.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISA, IEC, ISO) and safety regulations.
- Provide technical guidance and training to operations and maintenance teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience in industrial control system design and implementation.
- Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens S7 series, Rockwell ControlLogix, or equivalent).
- Experience with HMI/SCADA platforms (e.g., WinCC, Ignition, FactoryTalk, Wonderware).
- Strong understanding of PID control, feedback systems, and process dynamics.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, OPC UA).
- Knowledge of instrumentation and process control devices (sensors, valves, transmitters).
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and control logic diagrams.
- Problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach to system diagnostics and optimization.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
