  • Lead and supervise a team of paint maintenance technicians during assigned shifts, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities for paint application systems, spray booths, conveyors, and related equipment.
  • Conduct daily shift briefings, assign tasks, monitor progress, and provide real-time feedback to ensure timely completion of maintenance work.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues within paint systems, implementing effective solutions to minimize production downtime.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, spare parts usage, work orders, and equipment performance using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Ensure strict compliance with OSHA, ISO, and company safety regulations; conduct regular safety audits and enforce safe work practices.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to align maintenance schedules with production demands and project timelines.
  • Train and mentor junior technicians on equipment operation, safety procedures, and best maintenance practices.
  • Report shift performance metrics, incident reports, and maintenance KPIs to senior management on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, reduce failure rates, and optimize maintenance processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field (preferred); diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with relevant experience is acceptable.
  • 2–5 years of hands-on experience in maintenance supervision within an industrial or manufacturing environment, with specific focus on paint systems, spray booths, or coating processes.
  • Proven leadership experience managing shift teams, including scheduling, performance evaluation, and conflict resolution.
  • In-depth knowledge of paint application equipment, including high-volume low-pressure (HVLP) systems, robotic spray systems, and paint mixing systems.
  • Proficiency in using CMMS for work order management, preventive maintenance scheduling, and inventory tracking.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and hazard communication (HAZCOM) standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills with the ability to work under pressure during shift operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required
