Job Description
- Lead the research, design, and development of new engineering products, systems, and processes.
- Conduct feasibility studies, material selection analyses, and performance testing for prototypes.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and innovation logs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of R&D outputs into production and manufacturing workflows.
- Utilize simulation tools and CAD software to model, analyze, and optimize engineering designs.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory standards to inform innovation strategies.
- Manage and document experimental data, ensuring compliance with internal quality and safety protocols.
- Present findings, progress reports, and project updates to senior engineering and management teams.
- Support intellectual property development through patent documentation and innovation disclosures.
- Troubleshoot technical challenges during prototype and pilot production phases.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering (or related field).
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience in research and development within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA) and simulation software (e.g., ANSYS, MATLAB).
- Strong understanding of materials science, manufacturing processes, and product lifecycle management.
- Demonstrated experience in prototyping, testing, and validating engineering designs.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly.
- Familiarity with ISO standards, quality management systems, and regulatory compliance in engineering
