Job Description

  • Supervise and mentor a team of CAD designers, ensuring adherence to project deadlines and quality benchmarks
  • Oversee the creation, review, and revision of technical drawings and schematics using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar)
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to interpret design requirements and deliver accurate documentation
  • Implement and enforce standardized CAD drafting practices, templates, and file management protocols
  • Conduct regular quality assurance checks on drawings to ensure compliance with industry regulations and client specifications
  • Coordinate with procurement and construction teams to resolve design-related issues and facilitate smooth project execution
  • Maintain up-to-date records of design changes, revisions, and approvals using document control systems
  • Lead training sessions and knowledge-sharing initiatives to enhance team competency and innovation
  • Act as a key point of contact between design, administration, and field teams to ensure alignment and transparency


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical field
  • 2–5 years of progressive experience in CAD design, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team leadership role
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or equivalent CAD software; experience with 3D modeling and drafting is essential
  • Strong understanding of technical drawing standards (ISO, ANSI, ASME) and project documentation practices
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate a team while maintaining high performance and morale
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to precision in all design deliverables
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively across departments
