Job Description

  • Conduct on-site and laboratory testing of interior materials including paints, finishes, flooring, wall panels, and fixtures.
  • Verify compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and project-specific design specifications.
  • Document test results and prepare detailed reports for internal review and client presentation.
  • Collaborate with design, engineering, and construction teams to resolve material or installation discrepancies.
  • Perform visual and tactile inspections to detect defects, inconsistencies, or deviations in interior finishes.
  • Utilize testing equipment such as moisture meters, spectrophotometers, and adhesion testers for accurate evaluations.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of material performance data and historical test outcomes.
  • Participate in pre-installation reviews and post-completion inspections to ensure quality consistency.
  • Stay updated on emerging materials, sustainability standards, and advancements in interior testing methodologies.



Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Construction Technology, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of proven experience in interior quality assurance, testing, or site inspection roles.
  • Proficiency in using interior testing tools and equipment (e.g., moisture meters, gloss meters, adhesion testers).
  • Strong understanding of building codes, safety standards, and sustainable materials (e.g., LEED, BREEAM).
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly.
  • Familiarity with digital documentation tools and project management software (e.g., MS Office, AutoCAD, Procore).
