The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, analytically strong, and comfortable working with financial data, valuation models, and research reports. This role offers hands-on exposure to public markets, company analysis, and institutional-grade research practices.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth equity research on listed companies, including business model analysis, competitive positioning, industry dynamics, and growth drivers.
  • Build and maintain financial models (three-statement models, valuation models including DCF, comparable companies, and precedent transactions).
  • Analyze financial statements, earnings releases, investor presentations, and management commentary to assess company performance and outlook.
  • Support buy-side investment research by preparing investment notes, pitch decks, and risk-return assessments.
  • Track market trends, macroeconomic indicators, and sector developments impacting portfolio holdings and potential investments.
  • Assist in monitoring existing investments and updating valuations and investment theses on a periodic basis.
  • Perform data gathering and analysis using company filings, financial databases, and market intelligence sources.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders including portfolio managers, senior research analysts, and investment teams to support decision-making.
  • Prepare clear, concise, and well-structured research reports and presentations for internal use.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 0–4 years of experience in equity research, investment banking, buy-side research, consulting, or related financial roles .
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and corporate finance concepts .
  • Hands-on experience or strong academic exposure to valuation techniques and financial modeling .
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into clear insights and recommendations.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; exposure to financial databases is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-driven, organized, and able to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.

Educational Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • CFA Level I/II (or progress toward CFA) is a strong plus but not mandatory.
