Research and Development Officer

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Participates in gathering new product ideas through product ideation/competitive check with Culinary R&D.

• Plans/formulates/implements activities required to deliver new products as defined by the approved marketing calendar

  • Does preliminary costing to hit target food cost based on product brief

  • Identifies developmental needs (new suppliers, equipment, tools)

  • Conducts plant visit as needed together with SCM and QA

  • Identifies timelines of activities

• Commercial translation of approved recipe and processes for commissaries and stores

  • Formulates experimental design to meet target product and cost objective.

  • Conducts and/or supervises experimentation of approved developmental or improvement activities

  • Coordinates with Procurement for new material requirements
