The Opportunity

The Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music and Performance is seeking an Academic Research Assistant to contribute to the ARC Discovery project Climate Vocabularies: New Methodologies for Music and Science Communication. This project is an inter-faculty collaboration that will develop an innovative framework for transdisciplinary music-science collaboration via new creative works. A focus is placed on how music can enhance environmental storytelling to create more compelling and emotionally resonant climate messaging, and how engagement with climate science can lead to innovations in music. 

In this role, you will join the team to conduct advanced research both independently and collaboratively, producing high-quality publications and conference papers.
