Job Description
We are seeking a Research Associate or Research Engineer II to support our research and testing initiatives in power electronics for medium-voltage grid-connected applications. These research efforts align closely with the university’s strategic goals toward building more sustainable societies.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and tune digital control algorithms for power converters tailored for smart grid applications.
Model and simulate control systems including stability analysis and optimization of control parameters for grid compliance and dynamic performance (e.g., under transient and fault conditions).
Develop and implement firmware for embedded controllers to execute hard real-time control strategies for various power converters and grid interfaces.
