Cleveland-Cliffs Steel has an immediate opportunity for a Metallurgical Research Engineer at our Research & Innovation Center in Middletown, Ohio. The Metallurgical Research Engineer serves as a technical leader for alloy and process designs beginning in the laboratory stage and scaling up to industrial production. This role will entail optimization of microstructure development through alloy and process designs to meet demanding performance requirements for new Advanced High Strength Steel grade developments.
Summary of Responsibilities:
+ Product development of Advanced High Strength Steel grades, through laboratory and industrial scale experiments
+ Conduct alloy and process design of new steel grades using numerical, laboratory, and commercial tools. Specifically:
