**Overview**
Research Internships at Microsoft provide a dynamic environment for research careers with a network of world-class research labs led by globally-recognized scientists and engineers, who pursue innovation in a range of scientific and technical disciplines to help solve complex challenges in diverse fields, including computing, healthcare, economics, and the environment.
Medical imaging instruments, such as MRI or CT scanners, produce vast amounts of raw data that must be transformed into images that can be interpreted by clinicians. This process, known as image reconstruction, can be enhanced and improved using artificial intelligence (AI). Advanced image reconstruction techniques can be used to accelerate the image acquisition process and improve diagnostic quality.
