Research Lead - AI Security Policy

Position Description

RAND's , part of the , is seeking an accomplished policy leader to drive our government engagements for AI security policy initiatives. As Research Lead - AI Security Policy, you'll inform the regulatory and policy framework for securing powerful AI systems, evaluating cyber capabilities of AI systems, and other key policy goals at the intersection of AI and information security.

You’ll lead our engagement with the White House, regulatory agencies, the intelligence community, and other national governments. You'll leverage your policy network to identify emerging opportunities and challenges, utilize your understanding of policy needs to drive research work at the Meselson Center, translate technical AI security conclusions into actionable policy recommendations, and ensure RAND's expertise informs key policy decisions.
