Location: Box Hill Hospital, Victoria, Australia
Employment Type: Full‑time
Duration: 12‑month fixed‑term appointment
Remuneration: $106,789 – $117,128 pa, HEW Level 07 (plus 17% employer superannuation)

Overview

The Eastern Health Clinical School invites a dedicated Research Nurse (Oncology) to coordinate clinical trials, ensuring high‑quality data and optimal participant care. The role involves recruitment management, nursing care, participant education, and meticulous data recording – all in line with professional standards.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate clinical trials, managing participant recruitment and retention.
  • Provide nursing care and ongoing education to oncology patients participating in the trials.
  • Collect, analyse, and prepare data, ensuring accuracy and adherence to protocol guidelines.
  • Monitor participant progress and facilitate further clinical management as required.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and support the team in research endeavours.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Prior nursing experience, especially within oncology settings.
  • Strong problem‑solving, planning, and coordination skills in direct patient care.
  • Ability to educate participants on trial procedures and handle data collection with precision.
  • Valid Australian work rights.
