We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Reservation Executive to join our team in Chennai, India. As a Reservation Executive, you will play a crucial role in managing room reservations, maximizing revenue, and ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction.
- Plan and coordinate room reservations to optimize occupancy and revenue
- Implement effective selling techniques and strategies to maximize room sales
- Prepare accurate forecasts, reports, and statistics on a timely basis
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and resolve issues efficiently
- Maintain and update the corporate database with guest information and booking details
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction
- Train and supervise reservation associates, delegating tasks as needed
- Ensure adherence to company policies regarding discounts and corporate rates
- Monitor and analyze market trends to adjust reservation strategies
- Assist in developing occupancy forecasts for annual budgets
- Handle VIP reservations and special requests with utmost care and attention
Qualifications
- Degree/Diploma in Tourism or Hospitality Management
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong knowledge of reservation systems and hotel management software
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Team player with excellent interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of additional languages is a plus
