Job Description

As Reservations Manager, you will oversee the day\-to\-day operation of the Reservations Department, ensuring efficient systems, strong distribution management, and exceptional service delivery\.

You will lead the reservations and groups team to maximise conversion, manage inventory and rates across all channels, and support the Director of Revenue with hotel’s overall revenue strategy\.

### **Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:**

+ Ensure accurate loading and maintenance of rates, packages and availability across all booking platforms\.
+ Manage all reservations channels including direct, online travel agents \(OTAs\), GDS and wholesale partners to optimise distribution and maximise conversion\.
+ Oversee reservations procedures, ensuring accuracy of bookings, billing, payment processing and contract compliance
+ Lead, coach and develop the Reservations Team to deliver exceptional service, upselling and conversion performance
+ Build strong relationships with customers, Guests and Team Members in order to gain full understanding of their needs and work to serve them effectively
+ Assist in the recruiting, managing, training and developing of the Team
+ Work closely with the Revenue, Sales and Marketing teams to optimise pricing, promotions and demand periods
+ Monitor booking trends, pace reports and market conditions to proactively adjust strategies and drive performance
+ Maintain knowledge of the competitive marketplace and ensure the hotel remains well positioned locally

This role plays a key part in the commercial success of the hotel and is central to delivering a seamless guest journey from first enquiry through to arrival\.

**What are we looking for?**

This is an exciting time to join our hotel as we embark on a major transition, including a full refurbishment and the integration of new systems such as PMS and CRS, designed to elevate both the guest experience and our commercial performance\. We are seeking a dynamic and forward\-thinking Reservations leader to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Reservations Department\.

To successfully lead our large, high\-volume Reservations operation, you will demonstrate strong commercial acumen, exceptional leadership capability, and a passion for driving results through people, systems and strategy\. You will bring a hands\-on leadership style combined with the ability to operate strategically in a fast\-paced hotel environment\.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:

·Strong working knowledge of Opera Cloud \(PMS\) and TravelClick channel management platforms highly regarded

·Strong commercial mindset with a track record of driving room revenue, conversion and yield performance

·Previous experience in a senior reservations leadership role within a large hotel or multi\-property environment

·Excellent selling capability with a passion for coaching and developing team members in consultative selling and upselling techniques

·Exceptional organisational, planning and time\-management skills in a high\-volume environment

·Strong analytical capability with experience interpreting booking trends, demand patterns and performance reports

·A resilient, accountable and results\-driven leadership style

·High attention to detail and a commitment to operational excellence

·Flexibility to respond to changing priorities, peak trading periods and operational demands

·Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Hospitality Management or a related discipline
