Manulife Bank & Trust’s Mortgage Underwriting department is looking for a Mortgage Underwriter to join the team!
**Position Responsibilities:**
+ Manage the underwriting of residential mortgage applications. Exercise sound financial judgment in granting loans within delegated limits.
+ Review documents submitted by sales partners to identify and decision whether documents adhere to internal guidelines.
+ Ability to process a high volume of work files with attention to detail.
+ Manage your files with appropriate communication while working closely with the salesperson associated with the file.
**Required Qualifications:**
+ 3-5 years’ experience in residential mortgage underwriting specifically with files of higher complexity
+ Strong customer service and decisioning skills.
