All therapists will rotate through various specialized areas such as: Cardiac Surgical Unit, Level II Trauma Center, Emergency Center which specializes in pediatrics and Level II trauma, and Pediatrics. Dedicated department educator providing competencies monthly and generous pay-for-skills program where Therapists are paid annually for the various skills they achieve.

**Responsibilities:**

+ Insuring that equipment, such as life support/mechanical ventilators etc. are decontaminated, processed, re-assembled, calibrated and operationally checked according to manufacturer specifications.
+ Delivers, monitors, maintains and safeguards medical grade gases throughout the facility, including cylinders of various sizes and liquid oxygen systems.
+ Performs adjustments and repairs on selected equipment in consultation with the Biomedical Department.
+ Ensures that equipment and supplies are accessible, in good condition and of sufficient quantity to meet patient care needs.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.

**Education Required:**

+ High School or Equivalent

+ Associate's Preferred

**Specific Skills Required:**

+ Work independently
+ Equipment Assembly
+ Decontamination and Calibration
+ Identifies and Safely Uses Medical Gases, and Mechanical Repair.

+ Work with minimal supervision

+ Organizational skills
