Restaurant Hostess/Host, Season 2026 - Splendido Mare, a Belmond Hotel Portofino

Splendido Mare, A Belmond Hotel, part of the LVMH Group, is a charming guesthouse in the heart of the Portofino. Its celebrated restaurant, DaV Mare, embodies all the pleasures of piazzetta living through refined cuisine, curated in partnership with the 3-Michelin-star Cerea family. Awash with nautical spirit, our gem on the Italian Riviera celebrates the art of Ligurian living in its purest form. 

We are looking for a Restaurant Hoste/Hostess to join our Restaurant team. 

The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality and comfortable with challenges. He/She is willing to provide authentic and luxury experiences, demonstrating care, confidence, curiosity and community. 

He/She will report to the Restaurant Manager.

Main duties & responsibilities: 

• Warmly welcome and greet all guests upon arrival, anticipating their needs and ensuring a positive first impression;
• Manage restaurant reservations efficiently, using reservation systems, and handle walk-in guests professionally;
• Accompany guests to their tables, ensuring proper seating arrangements and considering special requests;
• Maintain an accurate and organized seating chart, managing table turns to optimize restaurant capacity;
• Effectively communicate with the service team, kitchen, and management regarding guest flow, special requests, and any potential issues;
• Provide guests with menus and introduce them to their server, ensuring a smooth transition;
• Handle guest inquiries and special requests with grace and efficiency, resolving minor issues promptly or escalating as necessary;
• Assist in maintaining the overall ambiance of the dining area, ensuring cleanliness and proper setup;
• Adhere to all hotel policies, procedures, and service standards, upholding Belmond's commitment to luxury hospitality

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant environment;
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a natural warm and engaging personality;
• A sophisticated and polished appearance, reflecting the luxury standards of Belmond;
• Proven ability to manage reservations systems and seating arrangements efficiently;
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment;
• A proactive and intuitive approach to guest service, anticipating needs and exceeding expectations;
• Fluency in Italian and English is essential; knowledge of other languages (e.g., French, German, Russian) is a significant advantage;
• A genuine passion for hospitality and a commitment to delivering world-class service.

•  We offer seasonal Labour contract according to C.C.N.L. Settore Turismo - Level 5,  Restaurant Hostess;

• Start date: March 2026 to End date: January 2027, with the aim of a continuous collaboration over subsequent seasons at Splendido Mare and a career path; 

• Monthly gross salary around 1.650€+ separate payslip for 13°,14° and TFR;
