**Job description**



1. Description of the Job

Integrated into the Engineering Direction of Safran Electronics and Defense as an RMS engineer, you will be responsible for the supporting on Reliability, Maintainability and Safety activities during development of Aerospace electronic systems and equipment over the whole V cycle.



You will work in coordination with the internal customer project manager and in close collaboration with the local development engineers.

In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing RMS requirements, perform reliability, Maintainability and safety analysis and generate safety engineering documents.



2. Key Responsibilities and Skills:

• Collect and validate customers and other stakeholders RMS Requirements and decompose the RMS requirements to the product level

• Understanding of system development process including requirements, development, system design, integration and system testing (V-Model)

• Experience in generating safety engineering documentation (Reliability, FHA, PSSA, FMEA, SSA) in close collaboration with system engineers.

• Hands-on experience in Reliability Prediction, FMEA, Fault tree analysis (FTA), CMA, Maintainability Analysis, SEE Analysis

• Familiarity with industry standards - ARP-4761, ARP-4754A, MIL-HDBK-217FN2, RIAC 217Plus, MIL-HDBK-338B, MIL-HDBK-1629A, DO254 and DO178C.

• Hands-on experience in Requirement management tools such as DOORS and Polarion and RMS tools such as PTC Windchill and Cafta.

• Knowledge of communication protocols such as SPI, RS422/485, CAN, ARINC 429

• Good knowledge and understanding of electronic engineering principles

• Basic understanding of stress and derating analysis of electronic components

• Strong analytical skills in understanding the electronic circuit functions and their failure modes

• Good oral and written communication skills
