  • Qualifications


    Education & Experience:


  • BSN required (or currently enrolled in BSN/MSN program with graduation within three years)



  • BLS and ACLS certifications required (CCRN preferred)



  • Previous ICU or critical care nursing experience strongly preferred



  • Skills & Knowledge:


  • Proficient in ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and advanced cardiac life support



  • Strong critical thinking and rapid decision-making skills in high-pressure situations



  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities



  • Familiarity with accreditation standards, safety protocols, and evidence-based practices



  • Physical Requirements:


  • Ability to lift, push, and assist patients or equipment up to 50 lbs



  • Frequent standing, walking, and repositioning of patients in critical care settings



  • Clear hearing and vision to respond to alarms, assess patients, and communicate effectively


  • Responsibilities


  • Provide continuous monitoring and assessment of critically ill patients



  • Administer high-risk medications (e.g., vasopressors, sedatives) and manage IV drips



  • Operate and troubleshoot advanced equipment, including ventilators, monitors, and infusion pumps



  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and adjust care plans



  • Educate families on patient conditions and involve them in care decisions when appropriate



  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and state regulations
