Position Overview
A hospital in Florida is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Cardiac Telemetry / Medical-Surgical unit. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to adult patients with cardiac and medical-surgical needs in a fast-paced inpatient setting.
Available Shifts
Days: Rotating weekends required
Nights: Rotating weekends required
Unit & Work Environment
Cardiac Telemetry / Med-Surg inpatient unit
Patient Ratios:
Days: 5:1 (occasionally 6:1)
Nights: 6:1 (consistent)
Joint Commission–accredited acute care hospital
Comprehensive cardiac and stroke care services
Key Responsibilities
Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in accordance with department standards and state scope of practice
Monitor cardiac telemetry and respond appropriately to rhythm changes
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
Administer medications and treatments per provider orders
Educate patients and families regarding conditions, medications, and care plans
Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
Advocate for patients, families, and caregivers to ensure optimal outcomes
Required Qualifications
Active Florida RN license or approved multistate compact license
Minimum 1 year of recent acute care RN experience (Med-Surg, Telemetry, PCU, or similar)
BLS (AHA) certification required
Strong cardiac monitoring and clinical assessment skills
Excellent communication, teamwork, and documentation abilities
