Position Overview:
Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse Labor & Delivery, to join a Healthcare Facility (Acute Care / Academic Medical Center) located in Syracuse, NY. This role requires specialized expertise in maternal-child nursing, including circulating for C-sections, and the flexibility to provide care across the continuum of the perinatal units at our premier academic medical center.

Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Licensure: Current New York State RN license; BLS certification (current or able to recertify).
- Experience:
- Minimum 1.5 years recent experience in an acute care facility of similar size/level within the past 2 years; circulating for C-sections required; scrubbing experience preferred.
- Travelers will only be considered if experienced in hospitals of equal or greater size or trauma centers.
- Technical Skills: EPIC EMR experience preferred.
- Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; willingness to float between Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care to laboring patients, circulate for cesarean sections.
- Monitor fetal heart tones, assist with deliveries.
- Provide postpartum care, assess newborns, and administer medications.
- Document in EMR, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team.
